I'm sorry. I don't think I was clear enough. There are newer forms of GUIDs that apparently deal with performance problems introduced by GUIDs placement in indexes. Have you tried any of these: SQL Server 2005 NewSequentialID, COMBs instead of GUIDs, etc?
