Well, I know that the teenagers get larger and large by decade.
There are some comments to make here. Since we have quite a few 'new' dutch from other parts of the world with different ethnic backgrounds that ussually are much smaller than native dutch. It would have been interesting to see the variance of the measurements and division on ethnic groups. I can only confirm that being over 190 is very common. Only if you're taller than 2.00, people will treat you as very tall.

BTW, that probably would be the same for the US since the hispanic invasion from mexico.

Walter,

>>>Maybe it is just my perspective. Most males in my family are over 6' as well. One of my uncles is 6'4" I am nearly 5'8" which is tall for a woman here in the U.S. Most males when I was in the military ranged from 5'10" to 6'3" tall (on average).

>>>>>>Well I'm over 6' but once in Amsterfdam I went to a brilliant venue called the Melk Weg (Milky Way) during the late PM/early evening. There was lots going on, in duifferent rooms and, like Amsterdam, there were people of all nations there. I'd gone to see a reggae band. Later in the eve, the foreigners dispersed and the place started filling up with the natives. I looked around and it was like being lost in a forest.
