Ryan what you will need to do then is create a main sub and make that the startup for the exe.
bellow is a simple example of the main sub you can change it to your needs and enter some error checking.
Module Startup
    Public Sub Main(ByVal cmdArgs As String())
        Dim form As myform
        If cmdArgs.Length > 0 Then
            form.textbox1.text = cmdArgs(0).Trim
        End If
        Application.Run(form)
    End Sub
End Module
