Is the report called from a form that has a grid on it? You can search around here for that issue. Grids seem to want to return the current alias to the control source for the grid.

>I have always built cursors in the report's calling form and had the VFP Report Writer work from the cursor. Of course the cursor is the SELECTed table before the REPORT FORM and the report has a public datasession. Never had a problem until recently.

When the user clicks on the printer icon in the Print/Preview toolbar, I get an error message saying that my field names cannot be found (it is like my cursor is no longer SELECTed). I am reduced to copying my cursor to an array in the calling form, and then in one of the events in the report (probably BeforeOpenTables; my remembrance is that doing this in the report's Init did not help things) I recreate the cursor and populate it from the array. Now everything works.
