Severe chronic pain is covered by Medicaid, to be precise any kind of pain is covered. You are badly mistaken alluding to my experience. For sure you know that I'm a new American and practically every person in that status got Medicaid when coming to this country. Medicaid covers every kind of hospital care and primary medical care. To be precise you will not find a private insurance that may get to comparable level. Sure, it doesn't cover cosmetic surgery, but I disagree to label it as cruel and unusual.

>Now you are splitting hairs. Being in severe chronic pain is not necesarily life-threatening. I refuse to get into this discussion with you. I only hope that you are fortunate enough and don't experience the reality of medicaid as others have. Emergency, life-threatening medical care only is not sufficient and I think you know that.

>>>Please, you are under the mistaken impression that Medicaid pays for everything or that everything is approved for payment under Medicaid. It is not.

>>>>>>And what happens when you retire, as Tom aspires, and maybe you no longer earn enough to keep on a med. ins., esp. as the age of needing the cover is approaching?
