It works a bit differently with ASP.NET 2.0. You can use the ObjectDataSource control to specify the business object method to call to retrieve data and then use the ObjectDataSource to bind user interface controls. Check out the MM .NET Dev Guide topic "How to Add Paging to a GridView" for an example of this.
