One thing I find in Vista (Ultimate in my case) is that VFP (and other apps) seem to have a tough time finding files or getting directory info from anywhere (local or network). Getting directory info even from my local drive can be a 3 - 5 second affair. Pretty annoying.

OTOH I have no problem retrieving data from local or remote datasources.

I'm not sure this is a Vista issue - it may have to do with my A/V (AVG - fully up to date for Vista) but I haven't tested running without it.

Other than that and the fact the My Documents no longer exists (and the hack workaround in Vista is unreliable) VFP seems to be doing well here.

>This is good to know. I have been reading other threads and some, however, seems to mention that everything is running ok. There might be something specific to the version you have. What is the exact version of Vista you are using? Other than that, there is probably a factor that is affecting that. Finding it might be difficult however.
