If you want a solid example of the system working efficiently, without "socialist" constraints of any kind, just read up on the U.S. (concentrating on business and is social implications) up until the late 1930s.
There you will find the system 'at its best' - child labour galore, 6 day weeks (much 7 too), firing on a whim, low low pay lowered more if the boss felt like it, dangerous working conditions, foul work environments and much more.
"...too much socialist influence..." now?????
