This is not VFP but VSS-related. Figured it will have more exposure here to try to get an answer.

We have a situation where an external consultant was called in to do a project.

He used our VSS server (a separate server in the LAN as instructed to keep source code). OK so far. What he did not do properly, is keep the working source in the development server. He worked instead in his workstation. I was not in charge of supervising him or even knew what he was working on.

Advance a few months and his contract expired. The guy is gone. The project is almost finished but not quite. I am now tasked to finish the project. I found all the source and copied it to the proper place. The only small detail is that he left two files checked out in VSS 6.0

I have Admin access to VSS 6 Admin console. I see in the VSS user client interface that these files are checked out by him to his local drive.

What I need is to be able to either check these two files back in or revert the checkout. I can't as I cannot impersonate him (Windows login). Even logging into his workstation as myself (which I did to copy all the files from there), I cannot fool VSS into allowing me to check-in his files.

The VSS 6.0 Admin console is pretty basic (to be polite). I cannot seem to find a way to override it and the manual is not much help.
Does anybody have a suggestion?

TIA
