Early in VFP3, I did a list for a client, to be populated from a lookup list they would provide. Tests ran fine. Then they put in the 'real' list with 35,000 entries. It worked perfectly - IF you had 10 minutes to wait every time the form loaded.

Thanx, I have a program monitoring phone activity for the hotel by taking streams of data from a pabx box on com2. The list is the incoming strings of data from pabx. I was worried about what would happen if they left it on 24 hours a day for several months. I guess I'll just clear the listbox at some arbitrary number...
