>Actually I would like to be able put focus on a textbox in a grid without any cursor (set cursor off just inserted a non-blinking cursor). Something else I'm having trouble with is the mouse icon in the grid. It turns to the I cursor when over the grid. I used the mousepointer property to be able to change the mouse pointer when over the active cell, but not the rest. The I icon gives my users the impression they can click in a cell and type text. Do you know how to get around that one??

How about a blinking red sign, in all caps, just above the grid, that says "Thou Shalt Not Type In This Grid"?
