perhaps I am not understanding the original problem. Cursors are local. They are a subset of the table they are from, and are not shared with other users. The method I perposed only works if the grid is displaying the original table. It has been a long time sence I used the REFRESH command myself. I now use cursors as the recordsource and do requeries on a timed bases if need to be. but even this method only applies if the grid is displaying readonly data. If the user is modifing the data in realtime, then a whole lot of multi-user conflict come into play.
