>>Europe has fought so many wars and lost so many human lifes and the past centuries, that it is tired to fight. It mainly uses diplomacy to solve conflicts and tries to unite nations (birth of EU) before conflicts can occur.

>Europe didn't have a war for 60 years. How could your generation get tired if you never fought?
What about batavia?, yugoslavia? N-ireland? the falkland war, the cold war? What about europes involvment in iraq, afghanistan (yep the netherlands is there).
that aside, it is not about our generation, but it got deeply engraved into our culture. It is difficult to explain, but cultures are affected by every war that runs over them. You really should ask dragan about it, but the problems at the balkan go back many centuries. Don't even speak about the struggle between greeks and turks.
