Do you know what Germany did to prevent this in the future (just do a little google) and you'll know what I mean. We are trying to build the structure neccesary to prevent this from happening. Preventing that one nutcase can reach for power in the way that hitler did.

As for problems outside of the EU we try to use diplomacy to get to a solution. If you look at how WWI started you understand why. Europe is a melting pot of different cultures with many different enthnicities. In that respect very different from the US where everyone becomes an american when living in the country.

And then there might be cases where fighting is the only solution, but we'd be damn sure about the consequences. We are not always alert enough as shown in yugoslavia... but that is the consequence..
