A customer and I were having a problem yesterday trying to display any simple HTML page on their server. The server is almost brand new. The OS is Windows 2003. The customer installed (and later uninstalled and installed again) IIS. But no matter what we do we can't get the server to display a very simple HTML page.
We created a virtual directory in IIS, placed an HTML file there but when we try to run it in LOCALHOST, the dreaded message "Service Unavailable" is all that we see.
I have been googling for this but can't find something that would apply to this case.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
