OK, sorry, I think I misunderstood.

Here are two options:

1. Use a smaller page size, for example, 5.5 inches high (1/2 of a normal page). Then, only half a page will be used.

2. Especially for dot-matrix printers, send text and commands to the printer, with the "???" command. This is much faster for printing. Also, YOU control when to do a page break (chr(12) for Epson dot-matrix printers).

Some printer manuals include a section with the printer codes.
