I have these reports created in code.

Open 1 and tryin closing it without any changes, VFP brings up the save(yes/no/cancel) dialogue. That's because it applies timestamps to records, assigns unique ids to most entries and generally makes the report layout conforms to new format.

What I have been trying to do is open the report and save it 'quietly'.

I can do it buy involking an external script that sends a keypress "Y" to that dialogue wneh it shows up. But I am trying to clamp down on scripting so any ideas of achieving this purely in VFP please?

I trying automating a server instance of vfp, sending it a key press before and after .doCmd("modify report ....") but it hasn't worked.

Any ides please?
