Christof--

>Have you changed anything regarding to modal forms? ActiveX controls can exhibit wrong behavior when being used on nested forms.

I don't think so. The offending color picker prg that I posted is (and always has been) called from a menu. There is a splash screen (which I believe sits in a form). Every half second or so, a timer goes off and checks whether or not there is something besides the splash screen that is visible. If another form is visible, the splash screen is made invisible. Does this meet your definition of nested forms? The splash screen is by definition not modal.

Nothing I have described above has changed in several years--except, the timer makes the splash screen invisible if any other form is present. I believe that upgrade happened well before the color picker problem started. I'll check when I get home tonight.

The date stamp on the color picker PRG I posted is from October, 2005. So it has not changed. We have demoed it without issue as recently as this September.
