I don't have memo in the group footer. I don't know why you're saying the orphan issue will never arise and I'm not sure what is the purpose of the wrapper function since group footer is always printed after the last record in the group.

I think there should be an algorithm to calculate Start Group on the new page when less than ... Unfortunately, I could not find the working number by trial and error approach. In my case I have two groups, so do I have to apply some number to each of them?
