Pete,
I'm old school about starting a new language/system. I've been programming for about 40 years and my approach, after my first SCATRE and FORTRAN classes, has been:
- Buy a couple introductory books
- Read until I'm lost
- Jump into the shallow end of the pool with a stupid little project that is just big enought to get me in trouble
- Splash around for a few days until I've gotten thoroughly frustrated
- Go back to the books (and now to the Web) to find out what I should have done
- Repeat until a new language or system comes along:
--- Start a real project
--- Splash around some more
--- Buy more books and surf the Web some more
- Go back to the start
...Jim
>Hello Mike, I have a lifetime subscription to learnvisualstudio so I'll have a look , the problem (like anything alien) is where to start ?
