I have a report that groups on a field called billid. One of the fields in the report is the custno.

In a box on the header of the report I print the custno. I also do it in the footer of the page.

The data grouping called billid, is set to start on a new page. In the group band at the end of the group, I print some totals. (I also tell it to reprint the header, if the page breaks during the detail printing inside a group.)

This is the weird behavour.

If the page breaks at the group footer, i.e. the last record of one group finishes and there is not enough room for the details in the group footer and therefore it prints the group footer info on a new page, the custno fields at the top and bottom of this new page are different.

Its like the report didn't page break when the group changed. If there is one more line of detail on page 2 it works out fine. It only happens when the only thing printed on the new page is the group footer details.

Is this a possible bug, gasp, in the report writer??

Any ideas for a work around?

TIA,
Mike
