Interesting that the countries receiving the least aid grew quicker than those receiving more aid. Also that the plan was an indirect method of subsidising US agriculture and industry. Most of the Marshall Aid dollar credits would have been spent in the US.

>for the record, I was refering the the marshal plan.

>>Did you know that before Pearl Harbor over 90% of the American public could have cared less about the European conflict?
>
>As I have stated many times here. They were dragged into the war.

>>And even after FDR was planning on a hard sell for the "Europe First" strategy until Hitler did him a favor and declared war on Dec 11, 1941.
>
>FDR? yeah and?? I'm well aware that the american public did not want to get involved. The US stayed out of it for about two years.
>
>>Ascribe whatever motives you wish, but at least be factually accurate. You're showing a stunning ignorance of 1940's geopolitics on the US side, colored by your current bias against the US.
>
>I have absolutely no idea what you are refering to.
>The US marshal plan was not a charity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_plan. Read the part about critisim.
>
>And where do I show an ignorance for geopolitics on the US side? Give me any references that the US was doing the things it did out of charity? If we talk about the same kind of charity the US thinks its doing for the iraqi citizens nowerdays, then I'm afraid I have a very different definition of the word "Charity".
>
>I appreciate that you're blinded by my appearant critisism which you call bias, but that should not stop you from reading what I really say: Though we are thankfull and glad the US helped us out of WWII and help us rebuild europe, it was by no means a charity. Just like many wars the US have fought they have political or economic interests in going to war. And if you think that is a bias... it is not. This the case for most wars that have been fought.
>
>>And I don't recall thousands of Americans running off to join the Waffen SS as your kinfolks did. At least we had some principles.
>
>Appart from I do know know exactly what you're referring to, What does this have to with the issue.
>
>
>You're free to debate my statements anytime john, but you react in rage like a headless chicken. It does make sense to me. Look throught the critisism and see what I really say..
>
>As one who was posting VFP riddles a long time ago that should not be too hard for you...
