Hi Walter

I admit I do not know the liniage of each countries electronic banking systems, just a generalization.

Good to see you've moved beyond tulips as currency :)

I suppose things like that take longer to develope here because it is done by business's rather than government (Which I am guessing was the mechanism behind some other countries development.)

>>You can do better with your bank however. Part of the problem is there has been a great deal of consolidation in the banking arena and they have issues trying to merge there data systems. I prefer to deal with Credit Unions, they seldom change hands and are more flexible and user friendly.

>>>Wachovia had a glitch on my electronic payment, so I was supposedly late with my water bill. My e-statement showed that I paid four days in advance, yet the next bill showed I was two days late. I dragged the issue across the rental office, the water billing company, and eventually it came to the bank. They said that there probably was "a delay in the process of printing and distributing the checks", or something to that effect.

>>>Actual B2B transactions are gaining traction, but it's no system worth mentioning, it's more of a P2P network. At my last job I was having my salary deposited directly (if you call involving paychex.com company "direct"), but it took first couple of checks for the channel to be established, and only then it took off.
