Interesting point. I always popup my lookup list new item form as modal, so they have to finish adding before they forget what they were doing...And the lookup lists get disconnected from their source tables. So far it's working fine... It's amazing and part of the joy of VFP, that there are so many ways to look at things :-)

>I agree, but I don't find it unusual. The first form (where the table is read only) could just use this table in a lookup grid or a combo, and have six other tables open; then the user discovers that the lookup needs new records, and launches the other form.
