The whole concept of being 'conceived in original sin' never made any sense to me. The idea of tarring a newborn baby with the 'sins' of the parents is so nuts that it's hard even to be angry at the creators of such foolishness. They are more to be pitied for their depressed outlook on life, I think.

I agree 100% - I've always found that to be one of the silliest notions of Christianity. Even though I'm not Jewish, one of the things I've always liked about it is the position on "original sin"
