More or less as I see myself :).

But I've already had this - meeting my students from the early eighties, and hearing them mention things I said in class (which I have long forgotten :). I've been home in 2005, and all the people I once knew still knew me and were glad to talk to me. That's more than enough for me.

That's pretty much it, yes. I just haven't found religion particularly helpful in that; some people can't find it in themselves so they need an external factor to help them - OK, I don't have a problem with that, whatever works. It's when they start claiming that we unbelievers are the cause of world's troubles (go back to the 2nd message in this thread for reference) when my keyboard starts itching.
