Count Judaism as another that doesn't believe in salvation and also as one that thinks acts are far more important than faith. You can be a good Jew without believing in God if you behave appropriately. Tamar,
While I don't belong to any denomination, I find myself agreeing with specific aspects of Judaism more than any other religion. My wife is Jewish, and over the years I've voluntarily read some of her books on Judaism. I've particularly agreed with their view of "original sin", the position that heaven and hell are symbolic, and the recognition of the relationship between the mother and child (whereas other religions focus on the father-child).
I still can't say I believe in God, and I certainly don't eat kosher, but Judaism seems like one of the more practical religions for living. As far as I'm concerned, teaching a child about the fundamentals of Christianity is either a form of mental cruelty, or insulting the kid's intelligence.
