>Well Hitler was a lowly soldier. He was able to rise to power to lead a nation and almost a continent. I bet he thought he was doing good for his people.

And maybe for humankind as well - which still doesn't mean that in the long run and in the big picture he was right ("right" meaning "good for humankind").

The point is not in one person here - his perception of good vs bad was flawed, but he did get social approval, he did get followers, he did get financial backing, which means there was something utterly wrong with the society where he lived.

>Without humans, this world would be in perfect balance. Worms and insects help all the plants to grow. The antelopes eat the plants and the lions and the tigers eat the antelops. See perfect harmony.
>I learned this watching Lion King.:-)

>Then came man with all his intellect. He eats way more then he needs.

Because he lives in economy built on the idea of eternal expansion. The food manufacturers have to show growth on Wallmart Street, so they have to sell more and more every year. So they advertise, because people at large still haven't evolved a resistance to ads, and advertising works. So they buy food they don't need, and eat it.

>He's never satified so he steals from his fellow man.

Because he lives in a society which cherishes money. He feels like a million dollars sometimes, or like a bad penny on other days. His politicians say "greed is good".

>He kills out of greed.

That too is not dictated by his having an intellect, but by living in a society which cherishes wealth, expressed in money.
