Interesting comments - have you actually used this product? When I watched the video, it seemed like "programming as we know it" to me - it reminded me a bit of working with ASP.NET, switching between a design view and an HTML-like editor, dropping into a SQL data manager to browse data etc. Connecting to data looked easier than with ADO.NET, though maybe some of that was due to TurboGear. IIRC at one point Eckel (a Java expert) was remarking to Ward (the Flash/Flex expert running the demo) how relatively easy it was to connect to data.
