You are probably aware that it costs the tax payers more to fight all the appeals of a death sentence than it costs to house in the prison the convict for life.
>You're right, I do. They'd rather let murderers sit in jail or return to society than take a chance on even one wrong death. I call it collateral damage. It's the normal curve at work. Sure there will be some who are wonglh executed, even after dna, fingerpints, etc. I think the government is obligated to exhaust all avenues to ensure only the guilty get punished, then they should carry out that sentence.
