I can recall the discussion in Catholic School in Theology class about who creates or invents. “God creates, man modifies”! Seems interesting. :)
There was a man named Alexander Graham Bell, who worked on a device we call the telephone. He got into a patent problem with a company called Western Electric. The case went to court. The engineer who said he was responsible for the invention while working for Western Electric testified that he stole the plans from Bell, and managed to file his patent first.
As a consequence, the judge made Western Electric the sole manufacturer for Bell. As I recall that remained in effect until about 25 years ago.
