LOL ... If you look back a decade, the US was the "good guys." You will be again. You just need to sort out the current problem and pass a new law that says you will never, ever, ever start another war without French support. ;-) Bearing in mind that France sank a ship in a NZ harbor not so long ago, which is actually an act of war, it isn't so hard to compartmentalize pride and get on with making the best of it.
