As long as there are people in the majority of the countries of the world fighting tooth and nail to relocate to the U.S., you cannot argue that it is not the most desired place to live.

Is that really true? How many Japanese are fighting to get in? What about Swiss? French? Canadians? Portugese? ;-)

In any case, on that basis the most desired place to live is Monaco, since there truly are billionaires from all over the world fighting tooth and nail to get in there. ;-)

I've lived and worked a few places, including the US. But I choose to live in NZ most of the time. Go figure. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
