Thanks for all your help, it seems that I must "set skip to" the child database for running the report, but if I leave it on while running my parent/child form, the navigation buttons no longer work properly, even if the parent table is selected. It seems as if the child database gets control if I use "set skip to child" while the form is running.

Anyways, thanks for all your help, maybe one day I can give you some help (i doubt it!) I have been using xbase since autumn '86, but windows is a whole new ballgame! See ya!
