Why does this surprise you in any way? Credit card issuers, i.e. banks, are more than happy to take money from all and sundry. Come one, come all! We are talking about organizations that pay interest at 3% and charge interest at 22%. Any sense of noblesse oblige they might have is about as evolved as a tadpole's.
