My memory of Switzerland was how different the cantons where. The French part must be the most boring place (and expensive). The German part was more lively as was the Italian.

>There was quite a bit of huffiness (not sure how best to describe it) among the different language regions in Switzerland when I was there. Everyone thought they were the real or BEST Swiss. More humorous than anything else. Is that still the case? (By the way, I absolutely LOVED Switzerland)

>>>When explaining the Dutch mentality to US troops in WWII, Margaret Mead said "The Dutch are always right," adding, "In this they resemble the Americans." ;-) By which she meant that both nations have strong ideas about how things should be, and aren't afraid to say so.
>>>
>>>I'm afraid that neither nation is paramount in this area, however. I'm fairly sure that that award goes to the Swiss who complain forcibly in multiple languages if the 14:23 train is 10 seconds late. ;-)

>>LOL. At least we're able to express ourselves in multiple languages. :-)
