What I tell them is it's easier to believe as the majority believes. I have never given them any self-righteous viewpoint that I'm right.

OTOH, we were taught that it's almost cowardly to take the easier way. Our class master (5th to 8th grade) would say "that's taking the line of lesser resistance". I figure she didn't like it when we later resisted her :).

I wouldn't like it if any of my children took to religion. I'd respect that as their choice, but nobody could force me to like it. Well, even the youngest is safe from it already - the way she talks about her few severely religious classmates.
