Are you sure this can be done with Activex and VStudio?. I know MS is not making the Ribbon UI embeddable in other apps. How would you proceed?

You can apply for a license for the Ribbon UI, but you have to implement the whole functionality by yourself, and still you have to be in compliance with their Ribbon Guidelines.
