Wow, that's pretty impressive to have had so few problems. I'd say I contact support at least 2 to 3 times a year on this machine alone--not always for failures though. I've upgraded this Latitude several times too. I've had few problems with the desktops and most of them are at least 8 years old now. I wouldn't contact Dell for an out-of-warranty problem with a desktop though. I'd just buy a part locally and install it myself. Because of proprietary parts and sometimes difficult installations, notebooks are more trouble. But they are also so much more convenient when you travel as much as I do.
