Walter,

You should never back down from defending what you think is right and I respect that.

About Ed: There is a phrase in English..."he suffered no fools". Ed Rauh was the farthest thing from "politically correct". If he thought you were an idiot he treated you as an idiot and the consequences be damned.

I have a hard time explaining Ed to those not really close to him. His public and personal personas were very different.

I don't know what else to say. I loved him.

>>Walter, I am not disputing your right to your opinion.
>>Ed was a deep and close personal friend of mine. My family and I miss him terribly.

>I'm sorry if I did open wounds of the past. It was not intended that way. I know quite a few people up here feel they did lost a friend. You can go back and look at my reaction on the news he died. I don't feel he was my enemy. I do have lots of respect of what he did on this forum. But you and I know what he could be like on the forum if he'd disagree with something, though I understand that he was way different in person. More or less seems to apply to JVP.

>Some of the people on the forum know me personally (No, I wont draw names). They'd be in a good position to give you a better description of my personality in real life.

>Bottom line is, that I never stay away from a fight I think is worth fighting because I think I'm right (and this seems to be a dutch attitude). At least in the western world I can do so, because we have freedom of speech. It has taken me where I am today and am confortable with it.
