The new Vista feature got me to wondering if VFP might benefit from writing TEMP files to a USB2 stick rather to an HD... no latency, no seek, etc.

I don't think VFP makes it practical to do in a real-life user shop scenario, but nevertheless it would be an interesting exercise.
It might also help to make more discernible just when VFP actually writes TMP data.
