I hate to say this, but a better comparison might be Anna Nicole Smith. :-(

Both represent small-town girls with big fame aspirations, who may or may not be able to handle it.

She MAY just be finally living the adolescence she was never allowed to have. (Can a Mouseketeer have her head shaved?) Of it may be a downward spiral.

This COULD end up being a shrewd ploy for media attention. (The cynic in me is never very far from the surface.)
