>In a user defined function, you cannot use getdate(). I have a function that uses a date in a table to decide an estimate on how long a product will take to be received. If that date is empty i would like to use the current date to decide it. I do not want to have to pass the current date to the function from everywhere i am calling it. Is there a way to retrive the current date in a function?

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
