A user is having problems running my application. It starts OK, but stops with an error when it creates the tables needed to run the application.


They run WinXP Pro, Their virus checker is etrust. They are using a network and need to login.

This is what they have tried so far:

1. Log in as Admistrator.
2. Uninstall eTrust (using Add/remove programs).
3. Disconnect from the network.
4. Install the software on a local drive and run it from there.

Nothing works.

I then got them to install the software on a notebook with just WinXP.
That runs fine.

It seesm that because they need to login on their usual PCs (even when diconnected from the network), something is happening to prevent my software from running correctly.

The error message is not helpful (data type mismatch).

Can anyone suggest what I should tell them to check or change?
