Hi Robert. It is only a VPN. After that you run VNC or any other remote control solution.

>This isn't like VNC/Remote Desktop is it, it is more just a link to access the data on the servers with programs running locally? If that's the case you need to watch how much info you pull down the wire :)

>>Our corporate firewall is locked down pretty tight. Generally only http on port 80 can get through. They won't even open up FTP or even allow an FTP server to be run in the DMZ. Generally it is a long battle to get PCAnywhere, VNC and remote desktop connections approved and working.

>>One of our network infrastucture guys said that people are allowed SSH connections outbound from our network... basically because he said that they couldn't stop it anyone. I messed around with some tools, but could never get a connection. I even tried LogmeIn since it tricks the firewall by making an 3rd party connection inward, then handing the connection off to the computers on the inside and outside of the firewall. Couldn't get it to work. Didn't want to try GotoMyPC since since you need to give them a credit card. I had heard of Hamachi a few years ago, but didn't try it until just yesterday, because of want one of our network guys said. It worked right away. I can now access my work and my home computers from each other with no problems.
