>Sometime ago someone ask Jesus how can we identify his disciples: Matthew 7:15-18
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit."It seems to me that this paragraph can be summarized in one word, as follows: "televangelists". I don't think it refers
exclusively to this group of people, there are surely other false prophets, nor that all televangelists are necessarily evil - but that is the first word that comes to mind when reading that paragraph.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
