What OS? The "regular" defrag?
What does it look like after the run... white-space wise?
I've found that a defrag can be run many times and that things change each time towards more white-space. What does the "report" say when it's done?... It scrolls, so be sure to go down.
If there's some things that are deleteable, get rid of them first.
I'm afraid to use the 'clean up HD' utility, but I winder if it might free up space?
good luck
>hi all,
>I am tyring to run defrag on a customers server over RD. there is about 17% free on the c drive and about 9% free on the d drive. when i run defrag on both it starts and finishes without giving any warnings and does defrag some files but it does not do the entire drive. on the d drive despite there being 9% free when you run the analysis first you cannot see any white space on the screne at all. the c drive is 10gb and the d is 22gb.
