I see,
It's not something I have done. In this case you need to force page breaks.
I printed out Cathy's documents on the report listener ages ago and it's been a fantastic reference. Forcing page breaks is one of those issues we have had to deal with but she does discuss the subject.
I case you haven't already considered it, look it up in:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms965281.aspxLookup the class: ReportListener_Xup class.
That's the way I would approach it Naomi

>I see now what you mean. My case is a bit different, groups footers don't take much space, they are 4-5 lines wide. My problem is to keep a record with a group footer, e.g. don't print group footer (or summary) alone.

>>But what i meant was say you were printing invoices in a batch process. Your invoice layout would likely have a grouping on the invoice number. So somewhere in the group / page footer or summary band you have totals for each invoice.

>>In this case we know a page can only have one group (for each invoice) - though we know an invoice may span to more than 1 page but a page cannot have more than 1 groups on it.
