>Thanks for the advice, Mike. Our backyard is next to an open cornfield, and there is plenty of room for the dog to run around. I am sure I will end up getting a lab... I just need to do more training research. My family got a black lab in high school, and we just weren't ready for it. It was a good dog, after about the 5th year. I don't want that to happen again.
