We've recently installed Oracle8 on our Novell server. ALL I want to do is to get VFP to connect to one of the sample databases Oracle8 comes with. I've read some info here about ODBC drivers and elected to go with InterSolve's solution.

My problem is this:
I goto control pannel, then select ODBC 32. From there I can see all the drivers under the User DSN tab, so I go to the new one, 'Oracle8 tables' (the one I got from InterSolve), and click on 'Add', Then another box comes up, asks me to 'select a driver for which I want to set up a data source', so I select the new one, that says 'InterSolve 32bit Oracle8', click on it. Then click finish, and poof, the error comes up. It says
"The setup routines for INTERSOLV 3.10 32-BIT Oracle8 ODBC driver could not be loaded due to sytem error code 1157."

Pretty much the same thing happens as when I do it from VFP, I get one of these errors:

"Connectivity error: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1157 (INTESOLV 3.10 32-BIT Oracle8)." or

"Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1157 (INTESOLV 3.10 32-BIT Oracle8)"

There is no doubt in my mind I missing something simple somewhere, but I haven't had any luck from Oracle, MS, or InterSolve on it. Anyone out here got a clue?
